Jose Varela has joined the LPPFusion team as Systems Administrator. Mr. Varela is completing his studies for a Computer Science degree, so will be working with us full time during the summers and half time during the school year. He has been contracting with the company for over a year now and has demonstrated a high level of accomplishment in all areas of information technology, providing lighting-fast IT fixes. He has supplied many automation, security and productivity solutions for our operations. He is an indispensable team member during experiments, when, together with LPPFusion’s Chief Information Officer, Ivy Karamitsos, he designs data solutions that reflect FF-1 and system changes. In addition, he covers many office administrative tasks. His accomplishments are creating time for long awaited systemic upgrades, such as switching to Linux OS, coordination of essential custom-written LPPFusion software components, and development of new educational materials for our funding and outreach efforts.
